Mainland Miami Fairs

  • New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) presents 82 members and 59 first-time exhibitors during its 22nd edition at Ice Palace Studios in Miami from December 3-7. A guest curator oversees special section “Curated Spotlight.” The New York-based nonprofit that fosters new voices within its supportive contemporary art network recently introduced events in Paris and Warsaw.

  • Billed as “the modern and contemporary Ibero-American art show,” Pinta Miami returns to the Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove (invitation-only preview, December 4; opening inauguration with brunch, December 5; public days, mid-afternoon of December 5-8). The 18th edition features three sections: Main, Radar curated by Angelica Arbelaez, and Next curated by Giuliana Vidarte.

  • Alcova, a fixture of Milan Design Week that held its inaugural Miami event last year, relocates to River Inn on the Miami River for round two. The historic, palm-filled property creates a juxtaposition for the fair’s cutting-edge design and innovative research from materials to technology. Dates are December 3-8.

Miami Beach Fairs

  • As curatorial director for Design Miami’s 20th edition, Victoria and Albert Museum alum Glenn Adamson thinks positive. This year’s “Blue Sky” theme evokes optimism, imagination, innovation, togetherness and connection to the natural world. The fair pops up at Miami Beach’s Pride Park beginning on the invitation-only preview (December 3), followed by public days (December 4-8).
